Do you offer wholesale options?

Can I order colored and scented wax ?

Currently all of our signature scented versions only come in white. That said, you can add your own essential oils or candle fragrance oils to the colored ones to give them a scent.

Please use caution - fragrance oils are highly flammable and should never be added to an already burning candle.

How long does it take to get my products?

·       We typically ship within 24 hours, and do our best to fulfill most orders the same day. You can see the transit times and expected delivery dates at checkout.

·       Please note fulfillment times can be extended during busy shopping seasons such as the holidays.

USING AURAE PEARL WAX

What are the ingredients?

·       Aurae pearl wax is plant-based and vegan, burning clean with hardly any smoke or soot. It’s free from paraffin, soy, and any known allergens. Additionally, our candle wicks are made from natural cotton, ensuring that we offer the safest candle option.

What container can I use?

·       Fireproof containers are recommended, but it's possible to also use other containers safely as long as they're big enough. The key is to prevent the melt pool from reaching the container edge and to keep the container from heating up while burning. 

·       Also, make sure to have at least 5 cm of pearls around each wick, and at least 3 cm between the bottom of the wick and the container bottom.

What's the burn time?

·       The total burn time varies greatly based on how the product is used. Do you relight the same wick or refresh it each time? Do you use one or more wicks at a time? How long are you letting them burn before refreshing your candle? All these will affect how long your pearled candle will last.

·       Each Aurae wick is 11 cm long and lasts around 12 hours.

How can I extinguish pearled candles?

·       You have options! You can use a flame snuffer, dip the wick with a wick dipper, or simply blow it out gently and the pearls won't fly everywhere if you blow out the flame carefully.

Can I use Aurae pearl wax for floating candles?

·       Yes, white pearls float on water while our colored products are NOT suitable for floating candles. We recommend pouring at least 5 cm height of white pearls on top of water and making sure the bottom of the wick is not touching the water. Just add any decorations you'd like into a vase, fill it with water until the decor is submerged, and then pour wax pearls on top. 

Can I reuse the candle pearls after using them as floating candles?

·       Yes! You can remove the pearls using a spoon or a fine-mesh strainer. Let them dry on paper towels, spreading them out to speed up the drying process. Once dry, they can be reused.

 

WICKS

Do you have to use a new wick every time?

·       No, you can relight the same wick multiple times and burn it as long as it lasts. Each wick can burn around 12 hours. You can also cut the wick and re-use the part that hasn't been used yet, or flip the wick to bury the melt pool for zero waste while still making your candle look brand new. Keep in mind cutting the wick will shorten the burn time. 

Do I need to use a wick holder?

·       No, you do not need, as the wicks are not attached to the bottom of the jar. When the wick is almost finished, it falls into the melted wax and goes out by itself. This means if you accidentally leave your pearled candle burning (though we don't recommend it as it’s still a fire), the flame will go out after about 15 to 20 hours. Our instructions say to keep at least 3 cm of space between the bottom of the wick and the container, so the wick will go out before the heat reaches the container.

My wick extinguishes quickly, what am I doing wrong?

·       The most common reason why the wick is not burning for the full 12 hours is if the wick tip is left too far out of the pearls. When inserting the wick, aim to have only about 1 cm tip sticking out, just enough to light it. Leaving the wick out further will shorten the burn time. 

How long does a wick last?

·       Each wick lasts around 12 hours

Can I use wooden wicks for pearl wax ?

·       Yes, you can use.

My wood wicks won’t light – what am I doing wrong?

·       Wooden wicks can be trickier to light than regular cotton wicks. First, make sure to insert the wood wick almost entirely into the Foton pearls – only about 1/8th of an inch should be visible (only the “FO” part of Foton that’s engraved onto the wick). Next, hold the lighter on the wick until you see the pearls starting to melt around the wick. This may take several seconds, so keep holding the flame there until the pearls start melting and the wick stays lit after removing the lighter.

Are wicks included with Aurae pearl wax?

8 wicks are added to the wax when buying a 500 g pack.
1 kg pack sold as 2x 500 g packs.
For 5 kg and 20 kg packs, wicks are purchased separately.

 

SCENTS

Are they scented?

·       Our pearl wax is odorless, so you can always use your favourite candle fragrance at any time. Please use caution - fragrance oils are highly flammable and should never be added to an already burning candle.

Can I add my own scent?

·       Yes, just add a few drops of your favorite essential oil or candle fragrance oil close to the wick BEFORE lighting it. Please do so at your own risk and comfort level, keeping in mind oils are very flammable and should never be added to a burning candle. You'll find that some oils work better than others, so experiment carefully until you find some that work. 

·       It is the user’s responsibility for all modifications made to the candles such as colors and scents.

SAFETY

Is Aurae pearl wax safe?

·       Our pearl wax is made from highly purified plant-based wax, burning cleanly with minimal smoke or soot. It does not contain paraffin or any known allergens. Natural and clean-burning wax helps you refill and repurpose existing containers into candles to reduce waste.

·       You can also take some comfort knowing that pearled candles typically self-extinguish if accidentally spilled as the pearls snuff the flame. They also generally self-extinguish if accidentally left burning for an extended period of time, as the wick will eventually fall over and "drown" in the melt pool. We still recommend always following candle safety guidelines and keeping them out of reach of children and pets.

Are they pet-friendly / safe around dogs & cats?

·       Our candle sand wax is made from plants, burns cleanly, and is safe for pets. Although, keep it away from pets since it has a real flame and isn't food. It is important to know the pearls are non-toxic and not expected to be harmful if a small amount is ingested.
